WHAT ARE QUANTUM DOTS?

Quantum Dots (QDs) are a class of semiconductor nanocrystals that efficiently absorb and emit light in very precise, tunable wavelengths across the entire visible spectrum based entirely on their size.  Given their energy efficiency and infinite color possibilities, the applications for QDs range widely from displays and lighting to solar panels and biomedical applications, with the fastest growing market potential in displays.

Founded in 2012 by scientists from the University of Utah, Navillum Nanotechnologies, Inc. is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Navillum manufactures semiconductor nanocrystals, including Quantum Dots (QDs). Navillum produces customizable, commercial-scale, QDs with consistently superior quality; all while creating a unique solution for your company’s display challenges (we love challenges!).
